Faculty of Technological Management

Now at faculty 3 academicians of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences and 2 member-correspondents of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, and also 26 candidates of scientific work, 17 doctor of sciences, professors. Qualification of teachers grows every year. Over the last 5 years the quantity of doctors of sciences, professors has increased to 42 %, candidates of science – to 36 %, senior lecturers – to 7 %. Scientific degrees have 100 % of teaching staff. Dissertational council operates at faculty. Since 2005 2 doctor's and 16 master's theses have been protected. 11 monographies, 73 manuals, from them 2 – with a signature stamp of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, 3 – with signature stamp educational methodological corporation of high schools of Russia, 1 – with a signature stamp of the Ministry of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory were published. 96 articles were published in magazines from the list of high academic council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, 42 articles in central and foreign press, 320 articles in other editions.

With improvement of technical base of faculty educational process has essentially improved. Since 2009 preparation of bachelors in a direction "Zootechnics" has been held, in 2010 preparation of engineers on a speciality «Technology of foodstuff» has begun.

Now at university the department of feeding of agricultural animals is the leader (the doctor of agricultural sciences managing chair, professor N.Z. Zlydnev is the head of department). It has rich history and solid school of thought which is headed by the rector of the Stavropol state agrarian university, the corresponding member of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, honored worker of science of the Russian Federation V.I. Trukhachev and professor, honored worker of a science of the Russian Federation N.Z. Zlydnev. They conduct researches on studying technological ways of preparations, preparations and uses of highly aleuronic forages and biologically active substances in feeding of agricultural animals. In 2008 professor N.Z. Zlydnev took part in work of the World congress of association of cultivation of ashire cattle passing in Finland.

In March, 2007 as a result of association of department of sheep breeding and zoohygiene and zoology department the department of sheep breeding, zoohygiene and zoology (the doctor of agricultural sciences, professor V.I. Konoplyov is the head of department) was formed. Under the direction of the Hero of Socialist Work, the academician of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, the doctor of agricultural sciences, professor V.A. Moroz and the doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, honored worker of science of Republic Dagestan I.S. Ismailov the school of thought on perfection and creation of new breeds of sheep successfully functions. V.A. Moroz together with scientists of high school, heads and experts of sheep-breeding economy has created 3 breeds of sheep which have received wide recognition of experts. For achievements in the field of selection of animals it is awarded by the Government of the Russian Federation. Discoveries of scientists of chair are known not only in Russia, but also abroad. World value scientific works in area of wool science have the professor, the participant of the Great Patriotic War V.I. Sidortsova.

- Working out and substantiation of the technological processes providing decrease of expenses of work and material means for production of animal industries;

- Agricultural animals maintenance technology.

The department of private zootechnics is headed by the doctor of agricultural sciences, the professor

V.F. Filenko. On the basis of agrarian industrial complex “Collective farm” Ternovsky, Trunovsky area (the head is I.A. Bogachyov, the Hero of Work of Stavropol Territory) where the complex on 12 thousand goals of pigs of breed СМ-1 of steppe type successfully functions, employees of V.F. Filenko and E.I. Rastovarov department work over creation of new breed of pigs - southern bacon. Along with deducing of new intensive breed of pigs, the chair collective is engaged in perfection of breeding and productive qualities of the zoned breeds of pigs, large horned livestock and an agricultural bird to Stavropol Territory. For last 5 years 15 patents of the Russian Federation for inventions are received. Chair division is the horse-racing school that is the pride of faculty and all university. Now in it there are 22 horses of various breeds: thoroughbred riding, Arabian, Tracken, Akhalten, Budenovsk.

Over department of cultivation and genetics of agricultural animals the candidate of agricultural sciences, senior lecturer V.E. Zakotin supervises. Scientists are in constant contact with practical workers, giving valuable recommendations in the field of selection, feedings and "know-how" of production of animal industries and poultry farming. Less unprofitable technology of annual lamb manufactures, A.M. Jakovenko developed by the professor at direct participation of senior lecturers S.A. Mamyshev, V.E. Zakotin and T.I. Antonenko, allows not only to increase efficiency of use of premises and the equipment, but also to raise quality and quantity of made production on 10-15 %, and safety of young growth - on 8,5 %.Scientific interests of employees of department are not limited to working out and introduction in manufacture of effective technologies on sheep breeding and large horned livestock. The senior lecturer of M.F. Zonov together with group of employees optimum parametres of light modes are developed at cultivation and the maintenance of breeding turkeys which have found application in a number turkey farms economy of the North Caucasus

In 2010 the student of 5 course R. Omarov has worn II place in the All-Russia competition among students, post-graduate students and young scientists in a nomination «Production technology of agricultural production».

Students of faculty actively participate in competitions: “Let us sing, friends!” (Among finalists are the teacher V.A. Kushchenko and the student of 1 course D. Turubarova), “Ms. University”, “Mr. University”, “Student's spring”. In 2009 the student of 5 courses D. Ajvazjan won the first price "Vice-Mr. University". The staff of the university and students of faculty actively participate in sports life of university. In 10th Games among employees of high school, the command of teachers has won II place, and in separate sports – prize-winning places. Faculty competitions on volleyball and minifootball are also held.
