Faculty of Agronomy
The Faculty of Agronomy has been created in 1941. For years of existence it has prepared thousand experts. Among graduates are not only heads of all levels of agrarian and industrial complex, experts of the agricultural enterprises, but also scientists - doctors and candidates of sciences. The amount of those who wishes to learn to work professionally with the earth, to create new grades of plants, to found gardens, to collect rich grain yields, vegetables, fruit. Annually more than 200 entrants become first-year students. At faculty study more than 1400 students at full and part-time tution, best of which receive nominal and governmental grants. Since 1977 dissertational council has been working at faculty. During its existence successfully protected 31 doctor and more than 250 candidates of sciences. At full-time and part-time tuition postgraduate study 52 post-graduate students are trained. Material equipment of departments allows to conduct training according to requirements of the State educational standard of the higher professional training on all specialities. In 2005 the land management and cadastre department was created. There is a modern multimedia projective equipment in 4 lecture and 10 laboratory audiences, 3 computer classes were create.   
Within the limits of realisation of the national project "Education" 5 laboratories were created: the agrochemical analysis (the head of it is the senior lecturer V.I.Radchenko); monitoring of soils (the head it is professor V.S.Tshovrebov); technologies of cultivation of field cultures (the head of it is senior lecturer A.I.Tivikov); qualities of grain and products of its processing (the head of it is professor A. I.Vojskovoj);a cadastre and land management (the head of it is senior lecturer O.A.Podkolzin). Thus, for specialities "Agronomics", «the Ground cadastre» and «the City cadastre» the advanced material base has been created. For last 5 years staff have published 30 monographies, 167 articles in editions of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and more than 2000 articles in various editions have been published, and also 15 patents of the Russian Federation for inventions and 20 copyright certificates are received. At faculty 10 International conferences are spent: «the Integrated protection of agricultural crops and fyto-sanitary monitoring in modern agriculture»; «Evolution and degradation of a soil cover»; «Rational use of natural resources and an ecological condition», etc. Europe colleague from Strategic partners of faculty are 10 higher educational institutions, including faculty of soil science of the Moscow State University of Lomonosov, Kubanskii state agrarian university; 14 research and production establishments, including State scientific institution of State scientific centre of Russian Federation of All-union scientific research institute of plant growing named after N.I.Vavilov, All-union scientific research institute of fertilizer and agrology named after D.N.Pryanishnikov (Moscow); 16 leading economy and edge enterprises, including Open Company «Nevinnomyssk nitrogen»; hothouse combine of Open Company "Nezhinsky" (Pregornensky area), agricultural production co-operation "Russia" (the Soviet area). In the conditions of an education experimental farm on the basis of 8 hospitals researches within the limits of scientific schools and directions are conducted. Long stationary experience (34 years) chairs of agrochemistry and physiology of plants, general and meliorative agriculture is property of the Russian agricultural science. Here joint researches of scientists of faculty with colleagues from All-union scientific research institute of fertilizer and agrology named after D.N.Pryanishnikov (the academician of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences V.G.Sychev), soil science faculty of the Moscow State University (the academician of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences of V.G. Minaev), the Kuban agrarian university (professor A. H.Sheudzhen). For last 5 years the working staff of faculty on the basis of laboratories have worked out executed 70 economical contractual research works. Pride of faculty are students and post-graduate students winners of the competitions spent by the Russian Federation Agriculture Ministry: V.Buzov, M.Sigida, M.Samojlenko, M.Balatsky, E.Artjushenko. All of them have continued the training in postgraduate study or work as teachers. At faculty the commission on employment of graduate students is created. The information on vacancies and requirements to applicants from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the population employment assistance centres, the agriculture enterprises, research establishments, skilled and selection stations, and also other enterprises arrives here. Students have possibility not only successfully to comprehend secrets of the future trade, but also actively to participate in amateur performances, to go in for sports. At faculty 18 masters of sports, 24 candidates for the master of sports study. Sports sections are visited by more than 300 persons. Children have things to be proud of : they won competitions «Young talents» and «Student's spring» from 2005 to 2009. Students S.Bovina and A.Berezhnoj became winners of competition "Ms. Universitet-2009" and "Mr. Universitet-2010". At faculty the academic chorus which is the only one in the university is revived and amounts more than 100 persons. Student's group "Care", which 5 years are a patron of children's home № 12 of A.Zatsepin (Stavropol), has occupied I place in the All-Russia competition of specialized student's groups among high schools of the Russian Federation Agriculture Ministry. For children-orphans birthdays gifts and tea drinking are arranged, concerts and sports competitions are held. The knowledge received at agronomical faculty, gives to graduates ample opportunities for increase of educational level and the further professional formation.
